I've searched but can't seem to find a substantial discussion concerning AFF PVP talent builds. Do we have a cookie cutter sticky somewhere to get me started out. I take 8 months off a year so have to rebuild when I come back to WOW. Thanks. |

Re: PVP Talents
Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft Something like that maybe? I must admit I'm not too proficient in affliction, but I think you got most of it covered in that build. I guess you can swap around on some talents, I don't know how much affliction really uses shadowbolt.

I recommend something along these lines, feel free to move some talents around to suit your needs. The World of Warcraft Armory |

Thanks for the help. Have both of you actually had experience successfully using these builds? I can finds many discussions (probably hundreds) discussing raid builds, but I'm shocked that there aren't very many PVPer's here using affliction. I'm finding the same with glyphs, gear etc. Does anyone know of a website that deals with these subjects? Last edited by thorlock; October 24, 2009 at 09:49 PM.. |

Key to picking talents in pvp is taking the key 'must -have' spells and let your playstyle dictate the rest. For example, Haunt/UA/Soul-Link/Imp. Corruption/Siphon Life would be considered must have spells for most effective aff. pvp. Talents like Shadow's Embrace, Death's Embrace, Dark Pact, Imp. fear, Coex, Bane, Soul Burn are upto you as an individual an is what sets you apart from others.. Personally I love using Coex on classes like paladins n druids so I use it, but I never bother with Dark Pact so I don't waste points in it. Let your style dictate your points, test what works what doesnt n find something that fits your malicous pvp style and dominance! Just my 10cents! :P

Re: PVP Talents
Thanks everyone for giving me some ideas. I researched and found a pretty good post by Merlin that discusses some of this subject PvP Guide . The top aff lock in arena is currently Zeat and I'm going to try his build The World of Warcraft Armory . It's very similar to the ones posted here. I play mostly bg so will end up having to do some customization once I get back into it. One difference will be dark pact, which doesn't come into play in arena but does in bg's where you can have long battles. But we'll see. |
