quick q on cursing in wrath
howdy! haven't played my lock much after 3.0 patched until about 1 week ago. needless to say destro pvp is awesome but i'm trying to get to 80 and (as always) i find affliction much more conducive to leveling. my q is this: what curse would be better for general mobs and instancing -- untalented agony or talented elements? any help is appreciated. |

I don't think there's a talent for elements? Don't you mean the other way around? Anyways, for level'ing I mostly did questing, whenever I went to an instance I just spammed shadow bolts on the trash, throwing in corruption if the mob looked like it might life for more than a few seconds and did full dot rotation on bosses, with curse of agony, not elements.

For general mobs and questing corruption, agony, next target repeat  If you get in trouble aoe fear and drain life.

If you think the fight lasts long enough so that 13% of your damage done is more then what Curse of Agony does, cast CoE otherwise Curse of Agony. Altho if Curse of Agony dont even get to finish by far then dont cast it and just spam incinerate. If your are level 80 you dont even cast Curse of Agony at all because it does less dps then an incinerate. |

In Affliction, Curse of Agony deals more damage for you. But that will only be in fights that last for a full tick-count (i.e. Boss fights). I agree with the above comment, way back when leveling, I would instant DoT everything in range, the pick on one at a time until they were dead. |

This is not about what I thought it was. I originally thought to post well if your in PVP I curse a lot because of DKs. But as for your question I use Agony most of the time for grinding and whatever I am assigned to in raid. |
