Major Spellstone

well, i got this off Curse Gaming (they have datamined the spells from BC). But dont take it to seriously till you see the spell in BC itself:

Current Major spellstones:
Creates a Major Spellstone for the caster. When equipped and used, the Major Spellstone removes all magic effects from the caster and will absorb 900 magic damage for 1 min. In addition, equipping the Major Spellstone improves your chance to get a critical strike with spells by 14%. Conjured items disappear if logged out for more than 15 minutes.

BC Major Spellstone:
Creates a Master Spellstone for the caster. When equipped and used, the Master Spellstone removes all harmful magic effects from the caster and will absorb 1350 magic damage for 1 min. In addition, equipping the Major Spellstone improves your chance to get a critical strike with spells by 14%. Conjured items disappear if logged out for more than 15 minutes.

a guildy explained the 14% thingy to me, it actually means it increases your crit-rating. in the end it still means 1% to crit. but hey! it'll keep your buffs!!!

Re: Major Spellstone

This would make it more useful. Reason many don't use it now is because it removes all affects. It really can save your hide but sucks to lose benefits as well.

Re: Major Spellstone

14% more crit is not always 1%.

If you have 5% base crit + devastation 5% and some crit gear you can reach 15% easily. Would be 17% after that.

I hope that these 14% work after the bonus for searing pain... :D

It's not 14 percent. It's "Spell Critical Rating 14". The sites just show the old way still.

14 spell crit rating = 1% chance to crit with spells at level 60

at level 70, that will be about .7% chance to crit or something.

Oh well, that makes it worse than before, people told me it would be 14% of the crit rate you already had... *sigh*

Now, does that mean all existing crit items get updated to crit rating so we lose crit chance up to level 70? Or do the old items remain flat +x% items?
