Re: Tips on Heavy Affliction/Drain Tanking

Hi, Im having a ball with a build just about like yours. My only difference in opinion would be to take 3 out of Fel Intelect (pet has plenty of mana) for you to drain. I put them 3 points in (shadow embrace 1 point) & (improved Curse of Agony 2 points), both of these will help you drain more than 3 in Fel Int.....that is what I have found, just my opinion, have fun .

Re: Tips on Heavy Affliction/Drain Tanking

I am heavy affliction also. Before the patch i was Destro and affliction.

While reading these "wonderful" fourms . I have seen a post where some one said if you put at least 2 in suppersion then when you are in PvP there is a 99% chance that they will not resist your afflcition spells and since you are anot 60 this might help out alot. Now this is different while doing PvE. Also if you put at least one point into shadow embrace you get still get the effect when you cast Curse of Agony, siphon life or corruption.

I have noticed that i can grind more and faster. I stay longer with more hp and mp. I mainly solo so this seems to be perfect for me.

this is where i am...

Re: Tips on Heavy Affliction/Drain Tanking

When I was still leveling to 60 with an affliction build, I'd usually have my succy out, send her to a mob, cast Curse of Agony and corrup, lifetap, then start draining life. I only cast siphon life on adds or when I'm pulling more than one due to the high mana cost.
