Ready for T5 content?

Ready for T5 content?

Hi there,

The World of Warcraft Armory

I am not sure my gears are good enough for T5 content or not.

I recently joined a guild that has two groups doing Karazhan. Group 1 always finish Karazhan in a night while I am in group 2 that always rely on PUG and we never can finished Kara. I have the highest shadow damage as a warlock in my guild. They don't have enough members to do 25 man yet and they recently started doing ZA but they never bring me to raid with them.

Should I stay with the guild or hop into 25 man raid and grab some T5 stuff?

Thanks for your help!

You seem pretty close, if not good, to me. I may tweak the spec a little bit to grab a point in suppression (though you are pretty close to cap anyway) and grab demonic embrace for some stamina.

IHowl and CoEx may be good ones to take points from to tweak other spots. Otherwise, you seem fine to me.

Re: Ready for T5 content?

from what i see in your armory, your gear is pretty much how i started raiding 25 man(urs better in pve), the guild im in now have the same situration when i first join, but eventualy more memeber join, and progress eventualy began, now we 5/6 ssc, 3/4 tk, and started hyja. from my perspective, if you can get your hands on the badges boots, and hands, your damage will be boost up a little, and 2 peice of t4(robe/ shoulder) can give you some good boost, the proc bounce is very nice. your cape can be replaced in kara. Pug kara if you have to, your gear is good enough for t4/t5 raids. my tips for you is try to run mags lair, gruuls lair everyweek, and try to get in a ZA grp if you lucky enough, is a great gear up in ZA!!
my english sucks, so i hope you understand what i try to express ><;

Re: Ready for T5 content?

Yes, yes, yes!!! Go do Tier 5!!! Your base damage is higher than mine is now and I've been running T5 for over a month! Your hit is very close to capped, which is excellent. I would in fact, rather than respec to place a point in suppression, just replace one of your +hit/+damage gems with a gem that is only +hit. That should get you close enough, anyway, and you have enough damage that sacrificing 4 or 5 points isn't a big deal.

Guilds are a tough thing these days - with so many people still trying to gear up at the Kara level and so many raiders bored until the expansion, it seems difficult to get in the mid-level stuff, but I'm sure you can find a guild that's where you need to be. And honestly, with stats like yours, getting stuck in a Kara 2 group that never finishes just isn't worth the $15 a month you pay to play. Go do new stuff! The TK/SSC content is fun and a welcome break from the endless Kara run after Kara run grind most of us have done.

Good luck!

Yeah.. im cool. Don't respec for one point in suppression when you can just regem the last couple points.

Sorry my company firewall blocks blizzard armory.

What sort of spell damageis the worlock norm for T5 raids. I know that spell hit max is a given for T5 (which I have) but what sort of self buffed spell damage am I expected to be. I'm demon spec so my crit is pretty low only ~15% but I am not planning on changing my spec anytime soon.

Re: Ready for T5 content?

Demon spec ~1200-1400 depending on badge gear gems etc. that's with DK

When I was CL for t5 content i required at least 1000 SD with Demon Armor which should be EASY with all the crafted stuff out there. I know when I was ending t5 content as Demo I was sitting around 1500 Shadow Damage w/ DK

Re: Ready for T5 content?

You are fine for SSC/TK. The only real problem piece is that crappy blue ring. Finish out exalted with cenarion expedition to get Ashyen's Gift. Once you do that you can swap out all your gems from the spellstrike pieces for Runed Living Ruby since the socket bonuses are completely useless.

Re: Ready for T5 content?

Your gear is alright. Though i agree you should be looking to upgrade that blue ring you have. Why did you break your FSW set? The FSW robe and shoulders (with the healing bonus) are better than your fel-tinged shoulders and robes from Kae if you are affliction.

One thing though is you need to up your stats. Your hp and mana are low. Going into SSC/TK you want to have about 8,500 hp without raiding buffs because of the high amount of damage taken during fights.

When I entered SSC/TK I was sitting at 1100 self buffed shadow damage as affliction (kara gear, badge stuff, FSW/ Spell Strike and Girdle of Ruination).
