Raiding: How do i improve my dps (overall and p/sec.)?

Hi all,

I perform in a guild that has Kara on farm (22 badges in 3.5h), and first 3 animal bosses down in ZA (only started 2 weeks ago on a weekly base), as you notice, we have about 12-14 decent raiders and we can't get the numbers to get to gruuls etc.
But, since i like to try and perform my outmost best (even in an on farm status raid) i would like to improve my dps as much as i can, cos i stay 2nd or 3th on the damage meter, where a fire mage and/or a BM hunter keep me from the top.

my spec atm is 36/4/21
spell rotation on trash is corr. and SB spam
spell rotation on bosses is trinketed ampl CoD, corr, SL, SB .... refresh DoT's as they run out.

I am working on honor points to get the merciless blade the 24th of june, so that will up my dps a bit.
When my guild stays foot, and not progressing enough, i am likely to apply to a regular rading guild so i will be listed as "raider" more then a general one.
How can i raise my dps pls, cos i am a bit confused about the low +crit i have, cos when i invest in +crit, i loose + hit, and i seem to need so much + crit to raise 1%

I have read the gear list, and i am saving up badges for any item that can be improved.

Well I assume you are European (not native English speaker) so I won't make a flippant remark about dps (damage per second).

About your gear, gratz on getting the S2 blade (I am grinding that honor now :(). You must have the scryer bloodgem, so you have a bit too much hit (202 cap) replace a hit gem with combo hit/damage.

The T4 bonus isnt that great, put SS Hood back on to match pants, you can get T4 bonus by using voidheart robes or mantle. Preferable both and then you can get better gloves also (Handwraps of Flowing Thought for hit, or either badge set).

Your spec is a bit off. UA is better than ruin (for bosses). You can try for damage with a hybrid spec of affliction and sacrificing a succy (it pumps out damage but loses utility), there is athread on it by Duckie.
