Haste Rating: 73
Have you read the gearing guide? Yes.

Items/Slots in need of immediate upgrade:
  • Quagmirran's Eye, Violet Signet of the Archmage.
Upgrades you are currently working on:

Chest - Currently next in line to get my T6 robe.
Head/ MH Weapon - Waiting to see if my guild runs MH anymore to get my T6 helm, or wait for the Cowl from Illidan. Also hoping to get the Tempest Blade from Archimonde if we do indeed run Hyjal again.
Wrist - Deciding on weather or not to keep my Fury of the Ursine or get the Bracers of Nimble Thought made.

All about you:

I'm Darkhaos. My guild is currently clearing BT weekly and making attempts on Kalecgos (Best attempt: Got the demon to about 20% and Kalec to about 22%). I keep having trouble keep up on the DPS meters and come usually in the top 10, but on the bottom. I'm sure I could be pulling alot more DPS, but don't see what I'm doing wrong. I have extremely bad luck with crits even with the amount of crit I have. I have tons of damage being resisted, and to be honest, I have more damage resisted than crits. I'm sure my gear is enough for where my guild is at (But not yet Brut). The other two locks almost always top the meters and yes, they are a bit more geared than I. My rotation is usually my assigned curse (Which most of the time is CoE), spam Shadowbolt, and Life Tap after every 6 or so. On bossses, I rarely even pull aggro. Here is one of the WWS:

http://wowwebstats.com/3thfppkqd2iic

Our highest DPSer, which is a Warlock, didn't attend that evening, but if he did, I'd easily be 10th. I'm wondering what I should work on and looking for any suggestions. Any help is appreciated, and thank you in advance.

Re: T6 Raiding Warlock LF Help with DPS.

Without sticking my nose out further than my knowledge, the one thing I noticed across the board is that you dont spend the same amount of time dpsing as everyone else. Just looking at the najentus fight you only spent 76% of the time dpsing. Thats about a full minute that you spent doing something else. But your dps was the 2nd best on that fight. On Teron you spent the appropriate amount of time dpsing and came in 3rd on that. Yep looking at your entire raid you shine when you spend most your time dpsing and look lackluster the others. I have never used wow web stats myself so I am not sure exactly, and I know that on some fights you have to move and cant get sb off. But I think your main culprit isnt gear, its your dps time. maybe you could use more pots to lifetap less? Or maybe learn positioning a little better so you dont have to move as much. Overall I dont want to tell you what to do because you are much further in game than I am, but those are my observations.

Oh and with your dps you should be able to pull aggro. So try at about 55%, to freak everyone out then soulshatter. If you arent using soulshatter then you can push even harder.

IMO, you have ok gear, but some significant shortcomings.

First, drop your kara ring and get the badge one or anything better.

Badge chest is amazing for destro locks, though T5 ain't bad. You can do better with Nimble thought, and should be gearing up haste, but you're lacking some other important pieces.

Xiri's gift is a joke for a T6 sunwell lock. Get the Darkmoon Crusade card.

--------------------
Gems

All epic or bust with your amount of progression.

Idk what others think, but all theory i've tested says dont waste your time on crit gems. As long as you're above 20%, you'll do fine, esp with other locks around.

Use epics, and never socket with crit...you'll be fine esp with a boomkin / Totem of Wrath around.

Here's my WWS and armory and you can see what I've done. And sometimes, in my case, T6 isn't an option til the 4set. The warlock above me has his 4 set with Tempest of Choas, Shrunken head, and other major upgrades, but I'm not that far off for how crappy my gear is, because of my enhanced +spell and haste.

Oh, the spellstrike set bonus is 17dps, thats why I have it over anything. Though if I get Channelled Elements legs and Hood of Hexing, I'll make the switch, or better yet... my T6 helm finally and legs.

And when all else fails, Leulier.com. It sounds hard to figure out, but it helped me alot when I finally tried it out....you should too, youll find out that crit isn't that amazing, esp for gems.... Haste and spell gems scale much much better.

Swap your ring for the badge one and your chest similarly and youll remain hit capped and gain some spell damage.

--------------------------------

G/L. I know i write alot, so if you have any questions, ill check back... but you're on the right track.

Re: T6 Raiding Warlock LF Help with DPS.

Can't see much the wws is showing expired however a big help for you will be the addition of a fourth piece of T6 this will help you dps huge. Other then that spam shadowbolts and pot on cd, dont move unless you absolutely have to. Gearwise look for the TC as a better MH but dont worry about the T6 head save the dkp for illidan head(since you'll have your 4p bonus offsetting the head is fine) nimblethought will be a nice upgrade, and go for the hex head from hexlord for your other trinket slot failing that a skull would be ideal or even darkmoon card if you have the cash.

*****Don't lifetap too much try to pot when you can and definitely do not tap every 6 tap only when moving*****
This is where you lack of dps stems from get a shadowpriest in your group and you should only need to tap 2-3 times for a stand and nuke fight. You should never finish a fight with more then 10% mana otherwise you're doing it wrong. Also get a resto shammy in your group for spell damage totems/mana tide.

Re: T6 Raiding Warlock LF Help with DPS.

From personal experience i find that with an elemental shaman i can afford to drop a considerable amount of hit for +crit or +damage gear.

Are you in a group with an elemental shaman or are the other warlocks?

Yep, i agree with the previous posters-first.... GET EPIC GEMS O.o
enchant your shoulders

second, you are doing alrite, but epic gems and crafted bracers would benefit you alot. also the third chest ring from ZA would be a item to get ASAP.with these items dishing out the extra haste, you SHOULD switch all your pure haste gems with epic spdmg/haste. you are doing a good job with haste, so now you just need to push it up slightly and improve your spelldamage at the same time.
