Mixed: Badge choices for the badge-poor non raider

I have been reading the gearing guides, particularly the pre-raid gear lists and the badge priority guide.

Items/Slots in need of immediate upgrade:
Excellent question. My wand, but I'm working on it (see below). There are some others, but they seem of equal importance.

After reading the priority guide for the badge gear I'm going back and forth on a few things and need a kick in the pants to make a decision.

Upgrades you are currently working on:

I'm doing some pvp for the necklace, but it's kind of slow going because I'm just not a pvp fan, and I really dislike arenas. I find that I can only do a couple Alterac Valleys before I either get depressed or lose interest. I'm about 5k honor away from the necklace at this point.

The MgT drops (back and shoulders) are taking me awhile to get, but I did get the bracers recently. I chose the jaded crystal blade instead of paying 150 badges for the scryer's focus blade because the badges are just a little too hard for me to come by.

Working on my mats for enchants for the cloak and bracers.

I am exalted with CE so I may get ashlynn's gift and do some re-gemming for more +spell damage or +spell damage/haste, but i don't want to do too much re-gemming if my gear is in a constat state of flux, which seems to be always these days.

I've been in Heroic Underbog about 20 times now and I'm starting to doubt that the black stalk exists on my server as it hasn't dropped once, though I have seen people with it. I'm not sure quite what I want to do about the trinkets.

My problem is: I want the badge gloves, robes, and the silver crescent trinket, but which first? The gloves are listed as a high priority but "a clear upgrade" from my handwraps of flowing thought. The robes are a major upgrade over my fsw robes, but are at a medium priority. I'm leaning towards saying I should get the gloves or trinket (probably glvoes first) but the robes are a big upgrade. And now I'm thinking the robes first...Grrr

A little about myself:

As the title implies, I don't raid really, and the other sections explain that I don't care for pvp much. I spend most of my time farming mats, doing dailies, and going to 5-mans (heroics for the most part). That takes up a fair bit of time for me I'm considering doing more research and applying for a raiding guild just because I would like to see more end game content, but for now, raiding isn't really a part of my playtime. And, if I do try to apply for a raiding guild, i want to make sure my gear is up to snuff. I figured my gear was more suited to an affliction spec, but after about a week, I was bored out of my mind. Some could argue that spamming Sbolts are insanely boring, but I softly giggle everytime I crit. I'm also ok with the a Felguard spec. I *might* go back to that until I get more +crit and +damage, we'll see.

As my knowledge isnt too vast I wont critique but to let you know there is a seasonal boss coming late september named coren direbrew in brd that will drop an icon of the silver crescent clone. Maybe worth waiting for I know I will be holding out till then as my badges arent exactly flowing either.

September is at least two months away, I got my alt from 1->70 and Kara-capable during that time while raiding on my main. Of course if you are willing to wait then feel free to do so.

Uhm, why does your armory show 1069 shadow damage with fel armor, not 1118?

In my opinion, getting the Icon trinket should have your priority. That and the badge chest next. The Attumen's gloves are much better than you think, I'd rather upgrade them for the new gloves from MgT than for the badge ones. Then you could change some of your gems.

Ahh, depending on when you looked at my armory, it may reflect a change in talent spec I respec'd to affliction to see how I liked it for grinding purposes. OT: 0/21/40 is kind of fun for grinding between the sac'd vw and soul leech combined with happy crits. Affliction certainly has it's own benefits that are described elsewhere..just takes a little getting used to. I have more options than mindlessly spamming Sbolts now. Thinking's hard! let's go shopping!

In other news, I have applied to a raiding guild. They're currently in SSC/TK/Hyjal...with baby steps into BT. No response as yet. If they did want me to go affliction, I would of course tailor my gear to that (no pun intended)
