Have you read the gearing guide? Using it as a bible

Items/Slots in need of immediate upgrade:

Neck. Back and Chest are my main concerns,

Upgrades you are currently working on:

SpellStrike set (tailoring levelling FTW), exalted with cenarion for Ashyen's Gift (6k honor to go whoop), trying to raid for Ruby cloak of the Mysticant but if I can't get on one trying for the Misummer bosses Caster cloak. new trinkets (but that's down on the list of things to do)

All about you:

I'm pretty much the only raider in my guild so I do PuGs, but my friends occasionally invite me along to their guild raids which are way more fun. I've only done Kara and I want to start on the others but i feel my gear really isn't up to it, and as a glutton for punishment I decided to post this. Let the comments begin

Re: 70 Demo, want to move up from Karazhan but is my gear enough?

You may be fine for early T5 content, but a few more upgrades definately wouldn't hurt.

Really your gear could be easily upgraded with badges and MagT runs, heroic or regular. The cloak from regular is comparable to the cloak off prince. The hit on either of those cloaks may allow you to drop some hit gems for more damage.

For the neck you can either get the SSO rep neck or pvp and get one of the new Guardian necks.

For the chest, either keep working on tailoring and make that robe or get the one from MagT heroic.

Use badges to get the Icon of The Silver Crescent and, if you have the money, buy the cards to make the Blessing Deck. Timbal's or Quag's Eye will do in a pinch too if you can get one of them.

Enchant your bracers!

You may also do better with a different spec, but I'll leave that to another person or thread

Re: 70 Demo, want to move up from Karazhan but is my gear enough?

Comparing your stats to the T5 Pre-raid gear list, your crit looks like it might be a little low for that talent build, but depending on the raid you could be ok. I can't speak from my own personal experience, I'm just comparing numbers at this point. I can't image gruul or mag would be that taxing for you with a decently geared group.

I would say, however, if I recall your armory correctly, that you've got enough Sha'Tar rep for the trinket. So, I would consider getting that as a quick upgrade. Xi'ri's Gift, I belive it is

Re: 70 Demo, want to move up from Karazhan but is my gear enough?

Your stats are surprisingly good for the amount of upgrades you can still get. Your hit is a tiny bit too high so if you can manage to find something that will replace it with say...crit or spell damage then do so but stay above 202.

Your few upgrades should be heavy on +to shadow damage. Try to get it above 1,000 as a rule of thumb. Badge gear, and even pvp gear would be a major upgrade for you.

Hope this helps.
