Seeking advice and counsel for this befuddled 70 demo lock.
Character Name: Nozferatwo
Armory Link: The World of Warcraft Armory Talent Build: Demonology, 5/46/10 Quick Info Health: 10094 Mana: 9479 +Damage: 1014 +Hit: 76 +Crit: 25.21% Have you read the gearing guide? Yes Items/Slots in need of immediate upgrade:
Upgrades you are currently working on: List any upgrades you are currently working on and where you are at. For example:
All about you: I enjoy it all, some battlegrounds, some arena, instance running and raiding. Right now I don't think I fit solidly into any category since I end up doing it all. My gear selection probably reflects that. My hands are S4 arena and I'd love to upgrade the rest of my S1 to S4 but my lack of arena teams and the (for me) high rating requirements don't make that a possibility. I have other options as far as running heroics for drops, farming badges (have 50 at this moment), using battleground honor to buy new guardian gear (again, thanks Blizzard for the new ratings requirement that precludes me from anything but the belt at the moment), and raiding. I am going to guess that right now Karazhan is my best bet for raiding and that Zul'Aman is probably beyond my reach currently, and any 25-mans are by far beyond me too, for the present. So I'd love to get feedback and input from my fellow, more experienced warlocks out there. I welcome your comments on all aspects of this character and what I've stated above. As an aside this is also my inaugural post since joining this forum a few days ago, I love it and am glad to be a part of it! |

Re: Seeking advice and counsel for this befuddled 70 demo lock.
I was just in your scenario a few months ago - I was a FG lock myself (5/45/11) and only ran Kara (badges and equipment). In this scenario, the best equipment that you have access to will be badge and profession gear - Of course there are some nice stuff in Kara like the Prince's cloak but a majority is not in the same league.
With that said and assuming your armory accurately portrays your gear (predominantly PVP gear), you will need a lot more spell hit. Although you are on the right track with the purchase of the Fused Nethergon Ring. In regards to "time vs. cost" aspect, I would take advantage of your max tailoring and get the fsw boots made and possibly the chest and shoulders. Easy way to get damage and spell hit (Great Dawnstones ftw!) I say possibly for the chest/shoulders because there are available gear that are an upgrade that do not require badge-farming (Heroic MGT chest and shoulders). In regards to badges, I would mainlyrun kara for badges. If the t4 gloves (decent but not exceptional) or handwraps of flowing thought drop, then great. I would save your badges for either the Icon of SC or Doomgrips. In terms of other slots, get the Spellstrike set and the Belt of Blasting (farm/buy mats and ask another tailor to craft). They are leagues better than anything in Kara. hope that helps... |

Re: Seeking advice and counsel for this befuddled 70 demo lock.
i would specc 6/44/11, mana is the key. Zul Aman will cost you many many years of your life raiding there with Felguard (and many soulshards).
As warlocks we never ever socket for stamina, int or spellcrit, unless we do arena we could fit in a stamina socket or two, but even that is not advised. Get rid of both of your trinkets and replace them with spelldmg-ones, more pew pew for both you and your Felguard. Your spellhit for PvP is fine, but for Raiding it is sub-par. |
