Newb, who thought I knew what to use
Character Name: Slickcoa
Armory Link: The World of Warcraft Armory Talent Build: 7/41/13 Quick Info Health: 7900 Mana:8100 +Damage:597 unbuffed +Hit:13 +Crit:18% Have you read the gearing guide? yes twice but still bummed... Items/Slots in need of immediate upgrade: chest head 1hand offhand Upgrades you are currently working on:
All about you: Just turned 70 a week ago (10 days total time) and read the gear guide twice. Now my guild is small (still recruiting) and were not able to run Heroics as much if at all. I solo grind for rep and mats mainly, but run instances as often as possible. After reading the gear guide i've got some idea on what to get gear wise, but where do i start? I've got mostly trash drops, created items and such. I've got the dreadweave rep set, is it worth it at all as it's not even listed in the gear guide. um help? thanks The World of Warcraft Armory |

Re: Newb, who thought I knew what to use
You have started already: getting the mats together for the FSW set.
C-Pimp's guide was designed for the PvE Warlock and as such has very few PvP items listed - which your Dreadweave obviously is (anything with resilience on it is pretty much classed as PvP gear as resilience has little or zero use in a PvE environment). I would not recommend gemming or enchanting your gear too expensively right now as you may well be changing some of it soon, but it's worth getting a few cheapish enchants done. You are working your way to revered with the Scryers - the Bloodgem is a good trinket. Hope this helps. Hell. |

Re: Newb, who thought I knew what to use
If you can get in Mech and Bot runs, Shat'ar has the same trinket at the Bloodgem but instead of 32 hit it has 32 crit. Can be handy to have.
You can also farm the mats for Spellstrike, or Battlecast set. Last edited by Evilums; August 07, 2008 at 05:32 AM. |

Re: Newb, who thought I knew what to use
Try to form a PUG-Karazhan if you do not have enough members in your guild.
We do that for some weeks now and it worked out very well. Those raids are always quite entertaining. Many of your group members will already know what to do and can "help" the starters to get an idea what to do and when. Ask your friends list to help and tell them what you would like to achieve and what is the purpous of your raid (twink equipment, main character equipment), so everybody knows what you plan to do and what they have to expect from "your raid". |

Quote:
1) S2 Spellblade 2) S3 Bracers 3) S4 Neck All very, very good for PvE also and none of which require personal rating. Definately worth grinding for. |

Re: Newb, who thought I knew what to use
He means:
Merciless Spellblade (season 2) Vindicators Dreadweave Cuffs (Season 3) Guardians Pendant of Subjucation (Season 4) Forgive spelling. If you are gold rich I would opt for: Bracers of Nimble thought Spellstike set if you dont already have it (Armory blocked atm) |

Re: Newb, who thought I knew what to use
awesome guys, i appreciate the help here.
Update, i got the mats and level'd tailoring to 350. Made the FSM, (3 day cd on shadowcloth sucks) I totally missed that resilience gear is for pvp only... I've got imbubed neatherweave set for pve currently hope it be good till we start running more 5mans. I've begun my grind for Merciless Spellblade. At least i've got somewhere to begin. |

Re: Newb, who thought I knew what to use
Aye, what Nimpimpy said - except for PvE use at that level of gearing I would probably go for the Silk Cuffs instead of Dreadweave, and "might" look at the Pendant of Conquest if thats the OP's only haste item. The Crit/damage will be more valuable for a long while than a smattering of haste will be
:Vindicator's Silk Cuffs - Item - World of Warcraft Guardian's Pendant of Conquest - Item - World of Warcraft The Spellblade: Merciless Gladiator's Spellblade - Item - World of Warcraft |

Re: Newb, who thought I knew what to use
ok i've picked up some pvp armor and finally farmed and bought mats for the spellstrike hood (now that is allot of farming - boring - )
Anyways, now i'm trying to decide do I grind honor of the merc staff or grab another 2 pieces of Merc fellweave pvp armor for the added resil? I've also gone afflic spec, which works better in pvp than demo spec. |
