Yes I have studied it

Items/Slots in need of immediate upgrade:
Head, trinket and shoulders. Im pretty much happy with rest of the gear atm

Upgrades you are currently working on:
List any upgrades you are currently working on and where you are at

Answering both questions at the same time below

My guild has troubles with Archimonde and we only kill him now and then, and there is still people in line infront of me to get the T6 helmet. Best upgrade for me that is obtainable would be the helmet form ZA (Hood of hexing). The Illidan kill is still weeks (months?) away so the one that drops from him is out of reach aswell. Shoulders is the tricky part, and im getting desperate here. We are facing Mother Shahraz, but as with the helmet there is still many infront of our RP system. The alternatives is the shoulders from Bloodboil and the ones form Anetheron.

My goal is more crit, have been thinking about replacing my T6 gloves with the Enslaved Soulguard grips, would gain 0.5% crit form that and would not lose any spelldamage. Can swop around some gear so I dont face any major hit issues. This could be a alternativ if I get the bloodboil shoulders.

Also getting a wand with crit (either form Maggie or the UB heroic one) would get me about 0.5% more crit.

Another alternativ is to resocket, could possibly drop som spelldamage for some more crit.

The off-hand from Rage Winterchill would be awesome aswell, but Im not alone to want it.

A trinket to replace Quagmirran's eye could also be usefull. We never ever raid SSC nowadays so Im affraid Sextant of the Unstable Currents is out of reach. An alterntiv that would raise my crit and that gives a similar effect is the Arcatraz one (Shiffar's Nexus Horn) but somehow I cant get myself to run that horrible instance. Can possibly aim for the ZA trinket, but at the moment I dont have time to attend our weekly bear runs

All about you:
Im a member Paratus, a guild progressing in BT, we are soon to finish of Mother Sharazh and start working on Illidari council. Im often doing a decent work on the dps, but have been stuck at about 1500 dps for a while. The bossfights where I have had higher crit (example from boomkin) I have had somewhat higher dps, and I have come to the conclusion that I need to stack up more crit to get my DPS up a notch. The goal is to keep about the same amount of spell damage, but get the crit up to 25% unbuffed.

Sorry for the wall of text, have been giving my gear loads of thoughts lately, need to do something to feel that I am making personal progress with my character.

Re: Pimp my crit chance (T6 raiding destro lock)

imo, i would not give up damage for crit if i was regemming. If you're thinking of regemming, you might want to think about using a reckless preystone, but that might not be the best option if you've got no other haste item.

I think the trinket from za is amazing, and i would try to pick it up if you had the time. The trinket is popular in my guild, as some weeks after the run to the bear, the group will disband or we'll call in alts as no one needs loot. So you could just walk in for a for a hex lord kill and not have to worry too much about time.

If you want more crit, i would think about trying to grab item with crit on them like the cloak of the illidari council, or maybe the robes of rhonin if they aren't popular when you do get archi down. Slippers of the sea caller also have some nice crit. Might want to plug upgrades into the spreadsheet to see what you get.

Shoulder would also great place to start. The fsw weave stuff, while good for damage, has no crit and definately could be a huge upgrade for you.

Re: Pimp my crit chance (T6 raiding destro lock)

I asked a similar question about upgrades at around that level (though if you're at Illidan you're a bit higher than me).

Firstly, I wouldn't gem for crit, it scales badly so pure damage and haste/damage will be better for overall DPS. Crit is better acquired from gear where you qill get a lump of 18-30. But re-gemming can get expensive.

For the specific gear, I had the same questions about the shoulders (I currently have T5). The advice I got was that anything other than the T6 shoudlers are probably not worth the upgrade. In your case though I'd say if you can get the Hutefury or Bllod-Cursed cheaply then you should. Even the Fel-Tinged Mantle from heroic MgT would be nice for you and would add a nice lumpo of crit.

Your wand isn't really much worse the the UB wand. Just stick a +10 crit gem in yours and it's virtually identical.

The trinkets are also OK. You could buy the Crusade Card which is situationally excellent DPS but other than that you know the 2 you really want - the Shrunken Head and the Skull. According to Buzzkill anything beneath those two are more or less equal. I actually find Quag's Eye to be really good, usually get 4-6 procs on a boss fight which is around 12-15 2.1 second shadowbolts. And it stacks with Heroism which if you're lucky means 1.6 sec shadowbolts.

If you really want crit try and pick-up the Slippers of the Seacaller from Najentus but I wouldn't obsess over it.

Re: Pimp my crit chance (T6 raiding destro lock)

TY for the answers. Sharazh down, so T6 shoulders are soon in reach, so wont spend my RP at the other alternatives. Im a bit down at the list but the one who waits on something good... Will proably try and save up for raid points for the helmet before I buy the shoulders if we are lucky enough to get Archi down. Fear and fire is such a bad combo :S. Have been thining about the MgT shoulders and will probably make a go at em. So maybe I should be happy to get my crit up with 1-2% and then go for haste? Hit aint a problem anymore, so yellow sockets could be used for some haste I guess.

About spreadsheets I have issues cause Im on a mac, cant seem to get em work with my odd excell mac version.
