Lvl 70 Gear ???? PVE & PVP
http://www.wowarmory.com/character-s...elm&n=Dreadlee
I was in a BG the other day and several locks from another guild where questioning my equipment choices and weapon enchant. The comment was "Make up your mind and go either shadow or fire, what a waste!" I have just started PVPing with the intention of improving my gear. I belong to a small guild and we just started Kara. We are at the Curator. I thought my gear was doing pretty good, and I seem to put out a fair amount of damage. I will have the Spell Hit cap in a few days with a Neck upgrade and a yellow gem slot. Primarily I want to help the Guild with raid progression, but I am starting to slowly enjoy the pvping, even though I suk at it. My questions are: Am I going the right direction with my gear or should I start tailoring and make the spell/shadow gear? What did they mean by “Go either shadow or fire”? Staff vs. Blade? Where is a good place to find combat guides for the BG’s? Some people that PVP assume that everyone should already be an expert if they are level 70. Lots of questions….any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Dread ![]() |

Either you'll be using Incinerate or Shadow bolt, usually not both, so pick fire or shadow and respec a little (although I don't know how much of a dps increase you'd get from Catacylsm). You have Soulfrost on your staff, so I'd guess you prefer Shadow, in which case Emberstorm won't really help you (you'll probably find that your DPS will go up a tiny amount if you don't use Immolate), if you can afford a respec then it might be worth doing, but don't worry about it too much. I'd say your gear is pretty good for Kara, its better than mine was when I was at the Curator. The tailored gear is overpowered, but I wouldn't change proffession for it, just keep doing heroics and Kara and save those badges for items that are equal to T6 (ish) |

Thank you. I am not sure where to put the other 5 points if I take it off Emberstorm but at least now I am wiser.

Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft
that is your cookie cutter demon sack shadow bolt spec...l just sac you succy and cast cure of elements and start spamming shadowbolts... for PvE anyways... and here is fire... Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft edit: after briefly looking at your gear/spec... you are fire spec'd lock.. but your enchant increases shadow/frost... you should really respec to shadow bolt... you'll see your dps improve.. you shouldn't be running kara anymore anyways. ZA is were you need to be. Perhaps starting on Hydross in SSC... Lootreaver is nice in The Eye. Also Rage Winterchill in Hyjal is pretty easy. Last edited by Denegra; August 20, 2008 at 10:03 PM. |
