Several Warlock Questions.
Hey.
I have a couple of questions regarding Warlocks, and they kind of span everything related to Warlocks, so I wasn't to sure where to post and decided to just post in this section. If that was wrong, please excuse me. My very first question is in relation to Talent Builds. Once I hit 70 (I am currently 62) I wanted to do lots of Battlegrounds, some Arena, but also some PvE. My main emphasis would be on PvP however. Now, on the realm that I play on Season 3 and Season 4 are no rarity what so ever, hence people have very high resilience ratings. If I would go the SL/SL route, would my DoTs still have an impact on these characters? Wouldn't a Destruction build with a high spell damage be more helpful? (I have heard that Destruction is useless in arenas...If anone could elaborate on that point please xD). So basically, what build would be a good all rounder build, with an emphasis on PvP? My 2v2 partner would be a holy pally-if that helps ![]() Secondly, could anyone please explain to me how I can figure out whether to choose the Felweave or Dreadweave raiments, in relation to your current build? If you are affliction specced then you chose the one, and if Destruction you chose the other or something? I am sorry, I have absolutely no clue which one to pick once I ding 70... Then lastly, which faction do I chose as a Warlock? Aldor or Scryer? I will pick Enchanting and Tailoring as my professions, so I am opting Scryers for now. Any helpful input on that front though? Mhm, I think that is basically it already hehe. Thought I had more on my mind.... Either way, if you read this far, thank you for your time! ![]() |

Re: Several Warlock Questions.
1 - SL/SL is the way to go for a allround specc. And to counter the resilience, you can gem some spell penetration gems.
2 - Dreadweave has no +crit but has a lot of +stamina. Felweave has +crit but some less +stamina. The choice is all yours. (I went for the Felweave...my personal choice.) 3 - I would say Scryer. |

Re: Several Warlock Questions.
Its true about the SL/SL it does give you one of the best advantages in pvp, but if it may help (have not tried arena nor this spec so forgive me if it blows) to do what my mate did, he specced FG + destro for some reason but the advantage is that you get 10% crit in your talents only and adding that to your crit makes you go pretty high with low gear stats.
About the Dread and Felweave, do not go dreadweave at all, you will have much more use for the cirt on the felweave though you may not think so, extra stam can always be socketed or enchanted but, crit may be harder or more expensive. I went for the dreadweave thinking just like you, that if felweave produces crit then i will go dred as i dont need crit as DoT'er. I regret that extremly though im aflliction, because you WILL be casting shadowbolts and it IS nice with that crit, and if you specced the first five points in destro its even nicer increasing the shadowdmg taken by your victim with 20% four times. As the other dude said, scryer is the way to go post got a little long here hope that at least some of it have helped ![]() |
