Looking for help on how to socket my gear

Character: Madlock
Armory: Link

Warcrafter.net profile: 70 Human Warlock (Please use this instead of the armory, it's what i'll be wearing in a couple days )

Hello, another longtime lurker, first time poster.

I have followed the site for a long time, mainly due to canadianpimp warlock gearing guide and after taking a long hiatus from the game, i come to see that quite a few things have changed(mainly the available heroic & PVP gear and Magisters Terrace).

Before i left, i had spent 1 or 2 months gearing up for basic raiding, made the FSW set, Spellstrike set, Cloak of Black Void, Bracers of Havok and Girdle of Ruination(thanks Blizzard for now making the Belt of Blasting so easily available ).

After some intial days gathering a nice ammount of gold(i had given away all of it when i left), i started gearing up again. Grinded the Merciless Gladiator Spellblade, grinded the mats for the Belt and should have enough badges tonight for grabing the Icon trinket. Next few days i'm grinding 10k honor for the Vindicator Silk Cuffs.

My doubts now arehow i should be socketing my gear. I guess that i should socket it till i reach the SpellHit cap and then move to SpellDamage.

What i'm looking for is on how to best do this. (Keep in mind that i'm on semi-serious/casual raiding guild that can only do T4 content right now, mostly because we lack enough raiders to move onto other content)

For example, since the Belt and maybe the Spellstrike set should last for quite a long time, i'm thinking on socketing those with SpellHit gems. Is this a good idea?

Another question i have is : is it really worth it to try to match gems for the socketing bonuses or totally just forget about it for now?

Thanks a lot for any help.

P.S: Is there any way for me to link a warcrafter.net sandbox profile like we can do with wowhead talent builds? I made one with the "base gear set" i'll be having in a couple of days and it would prolly help a lot than just checking my armory page for now :(

EDIT: i have included the warcrafter.net profile up top ... it's what i'll be using in a couple days
