Naked to PvP viable in 3.0.2

Hi All,

Can anyone offer any advise as to what my options are? I've just reached level 70, and I want to join a buddy in 2v2's. He already has some nice resiliance gear, and understandably he's concerned about my survivability.

I'm conscious of the new patch, and with Wrath of the Lich King just around the corner, i'm confused as to which path is best for me.

1) Wait it out until i hit 78-80 and grab the craftable PvP items?

2) Get the rep set now (looonng grind) and try to aquire the other items?

3) Other options?

I really appreciate your help in this - i'm keen to melt faces.

It probably depends how serious you are about getting ratings.

Your best bet for success would probably be to grab as much honor as you can to get a head start for level 80 PVP, as honor wont reset but arena points will.

If your just looking to have some fun and learn the arena system, grab as many blue pieces as you can and use green "of stamina" or "of the eagle" gear for the rest.

Hopefully, along the way of leveling from 60-70, you paid attention to rep and ground out enough to buy the Dreadweave set. It's an excellent way to get started with a PvP set.

Alternately (or in addition to), grind AV for a few days, getting enough rep and tokens to get the vindicator and veterans rings.
