Need help on gear so i'm not shot down for PUGs.
I was walking around dalaran and saw some LF2M 25 Naxx dps. I said hey why not? so i pmed the person. the reply was "how much sp?". my reply was "1466 unbuffed". the return reply was "no thanks looking for 1800 and above". Now did i mess up my chance by not including the bonus from Demonic Knowledge and Fel Armor? Or do i really need to hit 1800 Spell Power before I can seriously be considered by a pug looking to get some extra DPS in 25 naxx? If that is the case, then i am at a total loss as how to actually boost my SP that high without running naxx in the first place  So far i know i need more enchants, and am working on it as soon as i get the gold and greens for my friend to DE and enchant for me. So here is the quick and dirty: Kodachi The World of Warcraft Armory 3/52/16 Health: 16,004 Mana: 16,331 +Damage: 1,466 +Hit: 202 +Crit: 22.57%
 . My current DPS alone hits about 2.4k and i have hit 3.1k overall in groups. The real problem right now was a major playstyle change since I leveled as a 30/41/00 and was so used to stacking nothing but SP, dropping Curse of Agony, SL, and Corr on everything in sight while my felguard or VW played clean-up. I am a bit confused right now about the whole crit & haste thing. Hit i understand perfectly well and i do switch out gear to keep myself at 10-13% for 25 mans depending on the group so I hit the 17% cap.

I'd say include Fel Armor but not sure on DP. I always include anything 100% up or effectively 100% up (like Blade Barrier - Spell - World of Warcraft when it was parry rating). And I'll criticize them going off SP anyway, it's a mild indicator of dps at best and according to your numbers you shouldn't have any problem going. |

Basically, you are not geared for 25-man yet. You should do a few more 10 man first. That is not to say that you could not go on a 25-man, it is just that with your low hit and SP, you will probably be DPSing near the tanks. And, if I was organizing the PUG, I am not sure how much you know about the fights, as you only have a few pieces of Naxx gear. My advice is to look more for 10-man and heroic runs. Actual Gear help that you need First off Replace the off hand with Ward of the Violent Citadel. and the Neck Piece with Badge one as well. Also go back and run H Vh some more and get the Water Drenched robes outta there. All of those pieces have Hit on them i believe and that will but you much closer to Cap. That will free you up to get Emberforge outta HoS or something similar. You may want to look into Buying a Ring since those are a little harder to get good ones at. Also there is no reason not to have your Gear enchanted. Get the rep needed for Shoulders and Head: Kirin Torr and Hodir. and get the Matts for the rest you can easily gain 35 or so hit off enchants alone. Icewalker to Boots and Precision to Hands. All in all with those upgrades you will have 300+ Hitraiting and be in much better shape. And Yes you hurt yourself by telling them your SP without Either Pet or Buffs up. THere is almost no reason in Naxx your pet or your Felarmor shouldnt be next to you so use thoise when saying your SP.

Wow, that was quick! I guess the best time to post really is on a tuesday when the servers are down . . . okay so after going over the replies this is my current plan: -My Sp when asked should include both DP and Fel Armor. -Run H Vh; While Wearing Tabard for Kirin Tor until Revered and Hodir until Exalted, until either I have 130 Badges or the Water-Drenched Robe drops. -Buy Ward of the Violet Citadel and Encircling Burnished Gold Chains -Enchant my boots with Icewalker |

Yeah Tuesdays are a great time to post lol lots of us on although I know most of us browse while working like me. Dont forget you really need Enchants on all your gear if you want to raid you dont have to have the best but one down from the best is normaly reasonably priced and easy to get all enchanters will have them . Precision to Gloves will get you 20 hit raiting there as well. As far as your SP goes not by chance you have the DP buff up what i was talking about was your Master demonologist talents and what not. if you have a pet up you get a little more sp. so when someone asks you for your SP just look if you have a pet and Fel armor is up then tell them what it is. There is no Tabbard for Hodir you actualy have to Farm it the old fashion way by simply doing lots and lots of dailies and getting Relics of Ulduar/ Everfrost chips. both are turn ins.

I always quote my self-buffed spellpower, and for me that includes my Fel Armor and Demonologist buffs with my Felguard out. Also when I'm looking to PUG, I state that I provide ~240 SP group buff (DP) and Fish Feasts. Everybody loves the fish feast! I'm sure that at some point I'll get invited, put the feast down, and get kicked... but it has not happened yet. Helps that I don't put it down until everybody is buffed and zoned into the instance. I figure it's too late by then.
