Confused about extremly low DPS for Gear Level

All about you: I am a raider first and formost, that is all that this character gets used for, I have well over 300 days played on the char and have cleared all current content (with the exception of new onyxia, and the heroic mode totc25). now my problem is this, my DPS is low (3-4k) when fully raid buffed, and after many respec's and tweaking of gear via gems, enchants etc I cannot figure out why it is so low. I know I should be pushing 6k+ on normal bosses with the gear im in, yet I Struggle to maintain 4k my rotation is "Proc Trinket, COE (if needed, CoD if its not) Immolate, Conflag, CB, Inci till Conflag cd, then refreshing as needed" I am hoping that someone here would be willing to give me a little advice on why my DPS is so low at the moment, and what can be done to improve it. The only thing I can actually think of is that my latency is high (wow shows 90-180ms, quartz giving red recasting time upto 500ms+) or that my ISP is packet shaping wow (known fact that it blocks Steam access as well as several other major games durnig peek hours) and that it is causing issues. Your hit rating is too high, some wasted stats there. You have 15.63% from gear, 3% from moonkin/ spriest and perhaps 1% more if you have a draenei in your party. That's either 1.63% or 2.63% too much, which is either 43 or 69 too much hit rating. Try and find an alternative offhand & trinket with no hit on either, so you can swap around as needed to remain at 17%. You don't mention Life Tap in your rotation - I assume you cast it just before the pull and then keep the glyph buff up at all times? You don't mention what bosses you are struggling with, are you working on content with loads of movement or where you have a particular job other than max DPS? What kind of DPS do you do on e.g. XT002 (DPSing the heart, not the adds). As far as I can tell, you have great gear, all nicely enchanted and gemmed, standard raid talents & glyphs so the problem is probably in the rotation or the fight mechanics? |

This should probably be moved to the DPS Rotation Help forum and that format used. The gems in your robe and boots seem strange. For the robe, the oranges didn't activate the socket bonus, why not replace them w/ reds? For the boots, is +6 crit worth it? Other than that, everything looks ok and the gems definitely won't account for the 2k you are lacking. I would recommend looking at some wws reports for your raids and comparing them against similarly geared locks that are doing 6k. Analyzing WWS For Affliction Warlocks is a pretty good post on how to do it. Its aimed at afflict, but most of the data is class and certainly spec independent. |

I am also having problems with low dps compared to gear, gear score on wow-heroes is 2503 and dps is 3.5k which hasnt changed in 3 months or 400 less gear score, I believe I should easily top 5k. using LT, Imm, CD,conflag, inc, inc, inc with corr and cod/coe as needed and I never move unless absolutely required. I am guilty of clipping some times and just read about picking realm based on location but dont want to move to different realm. any other help appreciated. Most gems are 23sp with exception of those need for meta. hit is 465, haste is 407 with trinket pushing to 908, sp is 2878 without LT. what am I doing wrong? Not that it really matters, but it would certainly help a little if you get yourself the T9 2 set bonus. You have done pretty much what i wanted to do but in sort of the wrong order. You got the crafted chest before you had T9. really, get some T9 set up and then build your gear up around it. In order to have the 4 set bonus i would recommend ditching the shoulders (this is what i'm having to do which is a slight downgrade but never mind) for the T9 shoulders, and going for either the legs, hood or gloves for your other T9. You can buy these cheap from triumph badges or with trophies. In order to maximise your dps you need to either go with the crafted chest or the shoulders, and the obvious answer to that would be the chest. I have the same weapon by the way and i would also like an upgrade, but you don't need an immediate upgrade, it is a pretty decent weapon if i'm honest. Work on your T9 first. |

Hey =) My friend had that same problem and i noticed that he was using level 1 cb  Im now waiting to get 4setbonus from t9 \o/ Link to my char= The World of Warcraft Armory Best dps pull is hodir10 hardmode = 11k
