You may think haunt like Immolate which has only initial damage but stays on target 12 secs to increase your dot damage and to heal you back.

this may be a silly question but. . .

if the mob dies before the 12 seconds expire, does that still count as the spell "ending" for the health return?

Probably, it also works when it's dispelled. But I'm not sure. I'm not one of the lucky beta testers.

Haunt is a direct damage spell (and can crit) that leaves a debuff on the target that increases DoT damage by 15%.

I'm starting to get a bit confused about when to apply this in the spell rotation. With a cast time, I assume you would want to open with it; or maybe apply right after UA. Have any of the beta players tested this out yet? Since it applies SE, i figure you'd want it close to the opening.

One question I have: does it boost damage of DoTs already on the target, or only on spells applied after?

It would be nice if Haunt could be affected by Devastation, since it is a DD spell with a debuff and now that its healing part has been nerfed to just 20% of the damage produced by the spell itself the extra crit chance wont be OP or anything.

Ok, now that you are all talking about haunt and getting massive health back, how about timing it with Curse of Doom, espcially on those bosses who work like curator?

Ohhhh, how about while you are grinding? find a elemental/demon, cast CoD, banish, go on with the 5 other mobs you are grinding, haunt on the CoD mob... baaaam, full heath and no downtime!?!

Tooltip has been changed .... Haunt only heals you for 20% of the damage Haunt does, not all damage you do.

well i know that while im grinding for quests haunt typically heals me for 650-750 .. and it still heals even if the mob dies before the dot expires
