Demon Form 2.0

After the patch, metamorphosis changed a bit. Here are some screens of the new abilities and graphic.








Here a a screen of some melee damage while in Demon form.



Finally, here is screen of a new demon talent, improved demonic tactics.




Also Fel Empathy was changed. Now when I or my pet crit the other gains 6% more more damage on the next 3 abilities. So if Shaaroon crits with a swing, my next 3 shadowbolts, or any spell, hit for 6% more and vice versa.

Reminds me of the demons out in BEM that you take control of for that multi-phase quest. Pretty freaking cool. Can't wait to try this out.

Just joined the Beta, after getting sent a key by Blizzard rather unexpectedly (I'm a journo, maybe that explains it )

I'm still testing Metamorphosis... mostly I say 'not great' for PvE. The Felguard with Demonic Empowerment and other talents near top end grinds mobs pretty well.

The Beta realm is PvE, so I haven't really had a chance to do PvP and test it yet as an 'oh crap' button with the full health and mana, etc. The immolation aura is nice; the demonic leap is kinda fun. The rest of it I'd say is still a bit 'gimmicky'. I think they need to put more thought and clarity into this talent, or else I wouldn't (as yet) personally spec for it in Live.

When you transform, you also 'shrink' it seems. Well, I guess in PvP sometimes it's better to be small ... close up, you can see his face is sort of Illidan-ish (Night elf demonic sort of thing). However, further away it just looks a bit like a purple monkey

So, did they change the duration yet?

The fear.. 40 second cooldown. Meaning you pop it the second you change forms if you wanna use it more than once per meta. Glad we get the choice on strategic use of the spell.. lol

Did anyone else notice his FG has over 11k armor at 70?

Maybe I'm wrong, but that seems be a huge UG (servers are still down and I can't double check) , but I don't recall seeing anything about it in any of the beta info...

Screen shot looks like its still 45seconds.

And I would hold off on calling it OP until we have a good idea on how all the other classes are being treated compared to one another, for all we know, this could be very Under Powered given that we loose our pet and any buffs we'd normally receive from them as well as many of our spells.

I tell you one thing, I'll be spamming Curse of the Elements before I transform.
