Completed quests on Expansion release

Guys,

Thinking slightly forward to the mad rush to 80, I thought it would be a good idea to find 25 level 72 quests and complete them prior to the release of Wrath of the Lich King and then simply hand them all in once I have installed the expansion for c.500-700k exp.

My question is: Did completed quests reset when The Burning Crusade was released? ie. Will my questing efforts be a waste of time?

Thanks

For memory, and I don't trust it must now a days but anyway, there was no quest reset with the release of The Burning Crusade. I'm pretty sure that only ended up being a rumour going around...

Re: Completed quests on Expansion release

there was no reset but there was also no incentive to do it.

pre BC quests gave at max 5K roughly... most outland gave 10K+

in wrath I expect the same... BC ~10K... Wrath ~20K. off course XP per level will also scale, the only reason to "save" quests is if you're hell bent on being the first level 80 or something.

imo, do what you can now and use the cash from XP => $$$ conversion to prep for wrath ( level proffession, deck out toons etc )

Re: Completed quests on Expansion release

I dont need the cash or the gear on my chars :-)

If you only complete the instance based quests you should be hitting in excess of 20k xp on all quest handins. I certainly am at the moment on my alt who is level 65.

This is the same as the early quests in Wrath of the Lich King in the starting areas from the Beta I have seen.

Its not that I am in a mad rush but it will give me a head start and a couple of quests a week cant hurt much.

Just a thought, but thanks to those who said it doesnt reset.

Re: Completed quests on Expansion release

Actually, I did four quests the week before the expansion (The Burning Crusade) came out and didn't turn them in until I was on my way to the Dark Portal on the day The Burning Crusade came out. Sure enough, I got experience for them, but like Coud said, not much. I don't plan to have any quests left by the release of The Burning Crusade; I'll need the gold more than the experience.
