Collective Ideas for Warlock Glyphs

Saw this on the official forums and thought it would be a good thread idea for here - since we all know The Den Warlocks > Official Forum Warlocks. And I think the last paragraph is correct, Blizzard will look to the comunity for ideas. So lets give them some!!

Source: WoW Forums - ††” Collective Ideas for Warlock Glyphs †”†’

Quote:
Druids have seen their first wave of possible glyphs in wotlk along with a sneak peak of some other classes.

Id love to see input from other locks as to what type of glyphs theyd expect to see... remember some may seem overpowered but if you look at the druid glyphs the more powerful glyphs are quite nice

categories:
1) Major glyphs (major spell enhancements game breaking)
2) Minor glyphs (minor spell enhancements ie no shard cost , or cost reduction etc)
3) Cosmetic Glyphs (changes to graphics, etc)

Mine are the following
1)
Glyph of shadowbolts swiftness - reduces the cast time on shadowbolts by .3 seconds
Gylph of corruption contagion - gives your corruption a chance to spread to nearby targets
Glyph of major life siphoning - gives your siphon life ticks a chance to siphon an addition tick of life
Glyph of greater Felguard - gives felguards cleave ability to hit additional targets
Gylph of everlasting immolate - conflag no longer removes immolate from the target
Glyph of Agony - Curse of agony is now considered a magic effect instead of a curse

2)
Glyph of endless shadow burn - removes the shard cost
Glyph of Summoning - removes the shard cost of summoning demons
Glyph of Rituals - requires 1 less person to perform all rituals
Glyph of contagion - all affliction spells gain an additional 20% chance to not be dispelled

3)
Glyph of Green fire - changes the color of your incinerate to green
Glyph of Tiny Imp - reduces the size of your imp by 50%
Glyph of Felmonster - changes the appearance of your felguard to late of an elite fel minion
Glyph of the Felstead - changes the appearance of your dreadstead (graphic idea needed)

Blizzard will eventually look to the lock community for ideas like they have some other classes. Please keep this thread going with logical ideas... i think my idea of a glyph removing the succys clothes has already been booted

Warlocks Den Ideas

(Updated as more ideas get posted)

Glyph of Rapid Affliction - Unstable Affliction is now instant cast
Glyph of Longer Lasting - Siphon Life now lasts 45 seconds
Glyph of Multi Drain - Drain Soul now returns 2 shards
Glyph of Shard Creation - Drain Life now returns a shard if target dies while channeling
Glyph of Threat Reduction - Life Tap now slightly reduces threat

Glyph of Agony - Curse of agony is now considered a magic effect instead of a curse
Glyph of endless shadow burn - removes the shard cost

Glyph of Enslavement: The next Demon you enslave via your Enslave Demon spell becomes permanently yours so long as you possess the Improved Enslave Demon talent, and possess the Glyph of Enslavement. Unlearning or removal of either causes your enslaved demon to vanish forever.

Glyph of Improved Fire Shield - Imp's fire shield causes you to be engulfed in protecting flames. If struck by a melee attack, the attacker is then under the effect of immolation
Glyph of Chain Drain - Your drain life can drain two additional targets adjacent to your primary target (Think shaman chain heal, but as drain life).
Glyph of Soul Harvester -You receive a shard for each target that yields honor or experience that dies while upon your demonic circle. (Make it up to two shards to limit QQ).
Glyph of Fear Master - Your critical strikes have a chance to make the target cower in fear.

Glyph of Ritual Mastery - Summoning party members requires only you an one other person.(Used with an additional Glyph of Ritual Mastery, Summoning only requires you)
Glyph of Conjuring - Healthstones return mana as well as health

Glyph of Conjured Wells - Gives each talent level of health stone a different color. (i.e. 0/2 normal, 1/2 green, 2/2 red)
Glyph of ShadowFlame - Your destruction spells (shadowbolt, immolate, etc) are a mix of shadow and fire
Glyph of Xoroth - Your flying mount takes on the appearance of creature of Xoroth. (i.e. Your flying mount looks like a fiery version... netherdrake with fiery wings and tail for example)

Glyph of Banishment - Banish can effect any Humanoid target.
Gylph of Curse Mastery - Warlock can have two active Curses on a target.
Gylph of the Fel Sworn - You and your Summoned Demon Heal 1% of all damage you cause.
Gylph of Damnation - Fear will not break on Damage.
Gylph of Minion Mastery - All Minion abilities cost 25% less mana.
Gylph of Death Mastery - Your Master Soulstone returns target to life with full Health and Mana.
Gylph of Spoken Horrors - Your Curse of Tongues duration is increased to 60 sec.
Gylph of Fel Retrubution - When your Demon is slain it explodes dealing it's remaining mana total to all nearby enemies.

Glyph of Impact - Your direct damage spells knock the target back 5-10 yards.
Glyph of Shadow Wrath - Your shadow spells gain an additional X% of your spell damage.
Glyph of Corruption - Your corruption spell has a chance to spread to surrounding enemies.
Glyph of Lasting Darkness - Your Siphon Life spell last an additional 30 seconds.
Glyph of Curse Mastery - You can now afflict a target with 1 damaging curse and 1 debuffing curse at a time.

Glyph of the Soulless - Your Shadowburn spell no longer requires a shard.

So far unnamed Glyphs:

Perhaps a Major Glyph would include a "knockback" effect for a spell (just think of melee going flying ...). A Major, or Minor Glyph, might helpfully add +spell pushback resistance?

Green fire ... duh. Pretty sure we will see that as a glyph.

Health Funnel is no longer channeled but becomes a HoT like a Hunter's Mend Pet.

Shadowbolt has a 50% chance to not consume an ISB charge?

Drain soul is a cast and forget and no longer needs to be channeled.

Siphon Life heals your minion for 25% (?) of the amount it heals you.

Reduced mana cost of Felguard's cleave.

I'd like to see a glyph that changes our demons to look more like the Outland models. I'd love to see my VW larger and wearing armor, a bigger Felguard, and taller red Imp. Some sort of graphical pet improvement would be nice. Make our pets big and beefy, except the succubus ofcourse, she can look even more sassy.

A glyph that adds a random periodic 1 sec stun to our DoT's would be fantastic. Much like how some of those disease effects do.

Perhaps a major glyph that returns a small percentage of healing for the damage our spells cause.

Another might be to lower the targets resistance to the type of magic being cast.

Some funny minor glyphs:
1) Succy looks like Vana from wheel of fortune
2) Fel hunter looks like a golden retriever
3) VW looks like Arnold in Terminator
4) Felguard looks like Chuck Norris :P

Minor glyph which will make drain life spell a chance (maby around 20%) to spread (if possible) and afflict a 2 target.

Major glyph which will make the corruption/immolate spell to put a healing reduction effect similar to Rogues Wound poison. Every tick of corruption/immolate have a 50% chance to reduce healing on the target by 10 stacks 5 times.

Model glyph which will make your Shadowfury/Hellfire/Rain of fire spell afflict the ground and make it glow/smolder for a period of time.

Minor cosmetic glyph that will leave a trail of flaming hoofprints behind you as you ride off on your fel/dreadsteed. (shoulda been in the game from the beginning imo)

Glyph that makes Soul Shatter unresistable (spelling?).

Perhaps a glyph that tells the Felguard to stand an extra 10 yards away from me. Perhaps I'd call it, Demonic Odor. That way, when I get ganked by a rogue unexpectedly, the Felguard can immediately charge and stun him. As is now, if I'm not expecting it, the Felguard is standing too close to charge and merely whacks away at the rogue.

I would love a cosmetic glyph that causes the grim reaper to chase anyone under a fear effect.

Re: Collective Ideas for Warlock Glyphs

Hmmm...

Anyone remember the last original cast Star Trek movie where the Klingon's developed a way to un-cloak the ship just long enough to fire a weapon, then immediately re-cloak the ship? How about one of those for the Imp? Would have to be a major glyph, but something like the imp remains phase shifted while casting. Ok, I'm dreaming ...

Brain dead now ... more later.

Re: Collective Ideas for Warlock Glyphs

Green Fire will most likely be a glyph giving all the qq about it. Personally I think that I would prefer red hot fire. I'm afraid that green fire won't look like fire at all and most likely would look silly.

Pretty much anything like this would be sweet just so we don't need to look at the same thing all the time.

Re: Collective Ideas for Warlock Glyphs

What was that warlock spell/talent that was removed after Alpha, that reduced the opponent's rage/energy/mana? Perhaps we could have such an effect added to our spells via a Glyph? (though I would prefer the spell back).

I still think stuns; knockback would be good for offensive spells.
