Rerolling for the Lich King?
With wrath coming, the gear gap between 70s will disappear as we all work toward 80 and a new end game. This begs the question, are you changing mains come Wrath?
My main currently is my warlock, if you define main by most accomplished. My Paladin however, has been getting 80% of my playtime lately, gearing up for some Kara action. After looking at the awesome changes to Paladins (holy in particular), and comparing that to the warlock changes, I'm considering joining the light on this one. My warlock will always be there for pvp, which in the end looks like it will work out, seeing as most of the new abilities have deep pvp applications. So what about you guys, are you staying on the dark side, or trying something else? Or are you coming to the dark side, making your warlock your new main? |

Re: Switching Mains
While i also had considered my most played Char my "Main" in other MMOs, i think this is no longer applicable for WoW. Same as you i use my Warlock for PvP, for PvE/Raid action i have my Warrior Tank and now also have a Paladin healer which is closing on 70.
Hard to say, which one is most played....when i stopped PvP for some month i didnt play my Warlock much, concentrating on Tanking with my Warrior. Now being back to PvP i spend much more time on my Warlock again. So when Wrath of the Lich King comes out: My Warlock will be played by me when i do solo-questing, later at 80 i will use him for PvP. My Warrior will be played together with my friends where we do all the teamquests and instances, later at 80 i will use him for raiding. My Paladin i will play just in between for fun and learn a bit about being a healer. Also good to have one available to help out friends. |

Re: Switching Mains
I'm currently playing my Hunter, but reading up on a lot of the things coming, my Warlock got taken to Un'Goro the other day and is finally sparking my interest again. That's amazing in itself given she's something like my 7th Warlock or some other crazy number...
I'll definitely be taking my Hunter and Warlock to 80. My Mage I haven't decided. |

Re: Switching Mains
My warlock is my main, and will likely stay that way until the end of time.
But I do have a few alts and another server full of... horde (Eeek! Don't tell anyone!). Not sure what to do with them. Wrath of the Lich King will grant me a level 55 alt, which just might completely replace one or more of the ones I have now. Mining + skinning + level 55 = easy money.![]() |

Re: Switching Mains
My lock is my main and I'll be staying that way. I started originally as a hunter and, while I've still got him, I just enjoy my warlock so much more.

Re: Switching Mains
im going to be 80 with my lock first.. after that i might join with my mage, not sure.
Other than that.. i need to level everything to 70 first so that won't be happening, unless death knight will be amazing. I hope i can try tonight when im entering beta ![]() |

Re: Switching Mains
I don't know, its tempting...
As it stands, DK's need some more tuning to allow them to tank anything beyond a 5-man instance, although their DPS is in a better state that too needs some work now that they're limited to 2/2/2....so...if things look up I'm very interested in re-rolling DK. If not, I'll probably stay on my Warlock as that has a guaranteed raid spot. |
