Abyss Shard - lvl 50 class Trinket - Nerfed in Wotlk

The Abyss Shard has been changed to grant a passive 15 stamina bonus, but no longer
removes the soul shard requirement from casting a voidwalker.

What?!? That's ridiculous. I recently got the Shard (my first lock took the staff). Compared to the other two items, 15 stamina makes this item so lame. The least they could've done was to give the trinket something to put it on par with the robes/staff.

Blizz strikes again. Now I need a new engineering trinket called "The Gizzleborg Time Transporting Contraption". Use: Sometimes transports you into the past so you can take the staff instead of the abyss shard. Sometimes, however, your character will instead be reverted to level 1 and you must level him up again. But that is what goblin engineering is all about right?

+15 sta... and another previously "cool" item nerfed.... So there is only the style choice left on the quest reward.

I still regret sharding the staff when I desperatly needed money for epic flying mount :(

Lord knows I am soooo OP because I could save a shard once in a blue moon. Nerf soul shards because, you know, they are what's wrong with the US economy.

You know.. I still haven't done that quest. This is good to know because I had considered doing it for the shard "just in case". Don't need to worry about that now, do I?

While I always suggested the trinket it's in my "old world stuff I can't throw away even I will never ever need it anyway" bag in the bank. I can't DE it. It's a free shard. Not that I am troubled to get one, but still... :-)

Yeah, it is the concept of having a unique trinket I guess. Anyone can find something that gives +15 stamina, meh they are a dime a dozen. This is indeed sad news if it goes through.

I'm with neej on this one. Guess I'll finally get to shard it after all.

Just remembering going into BWL with 50 shards, coming out with an empty bag, and equipping that trinket to begin the shard-farming process once more.

These days we can fear-farm shards, but I was holding on to it just in case!
