WotLK And Gold

Does anyone know how much gold you should want going into the new
expansion? I mean, on the The Burning Crusade expansion, we all saved up for the epic flyer, is their something that we need to save up for in the new EXP?

Also, is their going to be alot of inflation?

How much gold are you all shooting to have on day 1?

for me 0. Gold farming scale with level, I mean by the level I level from 60 to 70 I was almost able to buy my flying mount. Especially if you have alts (which you don't gear), gold will not be a problem.

Re: WotLK And Gold

me and some of my guildmates goal is 10k. I'm sure other will blow this out of the water, but it seems like a high number to me considering the majority of my time is spend raiding.

My reasons are:

-Allow me to focus solely on leveling to 80 asap.
- Max out tailoring and work on new crafted gear
- There will be another gold sink, whether it's a flying mount or not
- The economy will become inflated, but gold is still gold

I have put aside 2k. A little cushion to buy mats if there is something really sexy I want to make off the bat.

Re: WotLK And Gold

I know, but I am accumulating alow of gold doing dailies, and stuff. Should I save it or blow it?

Is their something special that we should start saving for?

When I got to 70, I had like 1K gold, and enough for the regular mount, but took be a while before I bought the epic.

Just trying to think ahead.

ANy beta testers have any comments?

Re: WotLK And Gold

I'm anticipating a drop in epic mount training in the future so I'm holding onto my gold for that. Safe to say it gives me plenty of gold to work with when Wrath of the Lich King hits.

Re: WotLK And Gold

I'm holding all currencies--Gold, honor points, arena points. I'm hoping to get a jump on tailoring and inscription when Northrend opens, and I can imagine it will cost lots'o'mula.

My only question is badges. Does anyone know what changes will be to the heroic badge system? Will badges be worth anything at 80? I'm not raiding or instancing anymore for badges, or at least for anymore new gear.

I'd say go ahead and hold your honor and gold, but arena points and badges will be different. Reason is blizzard doesn't want people getting all these epics as soon as they get to 80. So, if you want to spend any arena points or badges, do it before the expansion.

As for that gold sink that was mentioned before, I heard rumors that you will be able to bring you flying mount to Northrend for the low low price of about 8k gold. My goal is to have at least 5k in the bank for my first zep trip to the tundra.

So far the Cold Weather Flying has no cost associated with it. Where did you hear this rumor from?

The teleport to Dalaran rings cost 8000g I believe.
