Feeling very 'bleh' about continuing my Warlock in WotLK...

I'm not sure what it is, but I'm feeling very 'bleh' when I think of my Warlock at the moment... so much so, that I'm wondering if I'll even play him at all come Wrath of the Lich King. It seems like every other class is getting so much attention. I read websites and I see all these posts and information being posted about the other classes, about the new dungeons, new loot, new professions. But everywhere I go, it's like Warlocks are being completely ignored, or they're just getting a 'tack on' mention. Like, "oh yeah, those Warlocks..."

Not sure if it's just a phase I'm going through, feeling a bit 'bleh' with WoW in general at the moment. I've even started wondering what the 'next big mmorpg' will be like...

Am I alone in these feelings?

quit?

a fair number of my guild members has been rather bored and feeling bleh lately and all of them has by and large quit...

personally I've also "quit" in that i no longer login haven't canceled my account yet but that's prob soon.

either that or roll an alt but i prefer to just "take a break" approach

That whole alphabetical order thing has us bringing up the rear so to speak. I'm sure there are good things for us down the road.

Not the only one. I too feel very "bleh" as you put it towards Warlocks. Hopefully Nitromoose is right, Warlocks being so late in the alphabet will see their love shortly... but I do, at the moment, feel like the "just ignore them and they'll go away" class.

if it brightens your day, the rogues are also feeling like the devs are ignoring them... add in their ( apparently ) very lackluster talents... they ain't a happy bunch of players

I have felt very bleh lately about my 'lock. Mainly its cause to me, 60-70 is the most boring part of the game next to leveling 1-10. But that's just me. Now, i'm starting to enjoy it more since I love pummeling every enemy (PvE or PvP) that comes across my path.

I am levelling my second warlock (this time UD Warlock at PVP realm). It was funny before but.... He has been sitting at 65 since weeks and I am just spending my time on Druid and Warrior (same server). Don't know what happened but I have just lost my interest for him. Maybe to the WOW

Re: Feeling very 'bleh' about continuing my Warlock in WotLK...

I'm not really feeling much of a motivation to play my lock in Wrath of the Lich King either. It's not that we're not getting any attention (I wouldn't want them to add too much or change the class too much), it's that we're going to be nerfed to hell or reduced to a support class. Blizzard said it themselves, they only want warlocks to come close to mages if they sacrifice all utility and use a pet. We'll be the new mages, only being taken to the raid for our shiny new demo debuff and maybe blood pact/felhunter buff while largely being excluded because we won't be competitive when it comes to damage.

If this ends up being the case, quitting or rerolling will be the way to go. Personally I'm leaning towards the former as I'd like to keep playing. But really, what's the point in playing a DPS class if you can't really do any real DPS? I guess Blizzard are just tired of hearing mages cry about us taking raid spots over them. We do better DPS, we have better AoE, we benefit the raid more, while they're just there to make food/water and decurse on Kalecgos (we don't even need them for int buff with the buff on the isle now).

Also not really looking forward to essentially starting from scratch. I absolutely despise levelling, it's about as fun as smashing your head against a wall repeatedly. Building a new UI from scratch when all my mods break also doesn't really appeal to me, nor does having to experiment with new builds (though this will be more of an issue with the prepatch, not the expansion itself as I've already got most of the potentially viable lvl80 builds written down while the prepatch builds will basicly have to be thought up on the spot), having to sort out glyphs and all the crap. Just makes me feel like I can't be bothered.

I'm happy to wipe night after night week after week on something, I'm happy to spend every night farming consumables, I'm happy to spend all day grinding rep, but starting from what is essentially scratch, figuring out new things and levelling again.. I honestly just don't feel motivated to even bother. Everyone else will be in the same boat so it won't be so bad but I really just can't be bothered.
