To people who don't cast conflag after immolate. Author: Fallenman Posted: June 16, 2009 10:07 AM So, this is a HUGE pet peeve of mine. That pet peeve being people who don't cast conflag right after immolate because they don't like the .2-.4 seconds they have to wait to cast conflag. So instead they cast XYZ spell. Here's the problem with that, and why it's a DPS LOSS to do that. 1. You will end up casting conflag LESS over the course of the fight doing it that way, than if you were to do it the proper way. 2. Putting XYZ filler (particularly CB) after immolate and before conflag, will often end up lining up your immolate end time with your next conflag cooldown, making you sometimes "miss" the end of the immolate and thus having to recast the next immolate before you can do your next conflag. 3. You RARELY have to cast conflag right after immolate if you use the PROPER method. This is because the conflag CD is shorter than the immolate dot. So other than the INITIAL cast of immo>conflag, it is rare that you will need to repeat that casting order during the course of a fight. Post a comment... |
