Brutallus & Felmyst [Sunwell]
Boss Name: Brutallus and Felmyst
Report: Wow Web Stats Armory Link: The World of Warcraft Armory Group Make-up: Had a resto shaman in the same group as me for Brutallus and then a shadow priest in the group with me for Felmyst. Information: I personally believe my DPS and damage is extremely low compared to the other warlocks. In most fights I am currently struggling to keep up with my fellow locks and we mainly have the same gear. I dont know if its maybe to do with when I life tap, how much I life tap and such? I use mana pots whenever they are off cooldown but always seem to go very low on mana and end up using life tap alot during the fight which lowers my damage. Any ideas? |

Re: Brutallus & Felmyst [Sunwell]
Yes, your DPS time is a little lower. You're doing higher DPS but lower damage so all I can suggest is really take your time to analyse the fights - where you have to be, what environmental issues there are to deal with, anything that prevents you from casting as much as you possibly can do.
I'll re-read the WWS when I'm less fried (grinding honour on my shaman) but I don't think there's anything else you might be doing "wrong" from a quick scan. |

Re: Brutallus & Felmyst [Sunwell]
Brut kill: Like Theleb pointed out, your DPS time was 95%. You didn't get burn either, so not sure why the drop off occured. You would have been around 750K damage with 100% DPS time. Gear seems to be going in a good direction. Start dropping T6 pieces from MH/BT as you get the SWP T6 pieces.
Your DPS is fine though. I wouldn't worry too much about it. |

Re: Brutallus & Felmyst [Sunwell]
They were both throwing up dots and i don't see you doing much dots other than CoD. If it makes you feel better you did more damage overall with your shadow bolts then they did. Your damage out on the Brutallus kill was only under odet by 2k
. Your damage on the Felmyst kill was highest on Felmyst and lowest on the unyielding dead so i really don't think you're doing anything wrong other than maybe doing more AoE. |

Re: Brutallus & Felmyst [Sunwell]
From what I can see, you are the weakest geared warlock between the three of you in your guild when it comes down to pure stats.
Also the dps difference is only minor on Brutallus, and with your gear 2100 isn't too bad. My guess is that the 95% dps uptime is perhaps due to somewhat subpar tank threat, and that is out of your control. Most warlocks with better gear only get 2300-2400 dps and they normally have less threat issues also. As for Felmyst, it seems as if you do more shadowbolt damage than the other warlocks, but they do more overall damage than you. This is why your dps is higher than theirs but your damage is lower. I suggest following the example of the other warlocks and using curse of agony because Odet had 81k damage just from his/her agony. Runez had a slightly different strategy and it involved more overall damage by combining the use of seed of corruption with hellfire, my guess is using hellfire early in the AoE phase to get more damage, and that is the difference between you and the other two warlocks. |
