Help: Hydross the Unstable

Boss Name: Hydross the Unstable

Group Make-up: Two Locks (Me included), Hunter, Mage, Shadow Priest

Information: The problem I'm seeing with my damage is that it does not match my dps. I have no clue why this happens, getting agro and dieing? running out of mana? I don't know. But if you take a look at the dps of the two people who got higher overall damage than me, they had around 300 less dps. What am I doing wrong? Any help will be appreciated.

Your DPS time is significantly less by about 8%. Also comparing the lock, the reason your personal DPS is higher is you threw about 60 more seeds than he did. Big difference there.

Edit: The information above was the whole night. I didn't realize you gave me the whole nights parse. Again though, your DPS time is 11% less than his on the kill. Reasoning above still the same. More seeds than him.

Final edit: What's up with your healers. 2 of them are carrying you guys.

I don't think it has much to do with the seeds seeing as this is not the first time I'm seeing this. In other places like ZA and Mag/Gruul, my dps is once again higher than others by a significant parse but the damage output is lower.

It happens a lot, actually. When I look at WWS reports, and evaluate myself, I have to ask, "ok, now what happened where my dps time is 4% shy of the next person." Some times I'm just not paying attention, looking for something in my bags, lifetapping too much, or I'm running from flamestrikes or doomfires more than others. A good indication of my performance isn't so much my dps, as it is my dps time compared to the other warlocks/raid members.

What I look at first on a WWS report is the presence %, lets me know if someone died early, then I look at the dps %, and the actual dps. If your dps is higher than everyone elses, but your dps time is much lower, then you know you have to potential to be kicking ***, just need to figure out what you need to do to be more efficient.
