WWS Critique - First night in MH

Hey all,

Just wanted some input on how I could better myself or if I was missing anything super important. I noticed I was severely outdamaged by what I consider to be a lesser geared warlock (although not by much). I must be missing something, Karh is spec'd destro with only 96 hit rating, yet somehow managed to outdamage me by almost a million points? Also if anyone has any comments on anything about the other players please feel free to input and I will direct them here.

Appreciate it guys and gals,
Joey

Just a quick observation but if you yank out SoC from the figures (assume you are comparing yourself to Karh), you actually out-damaged him (and more importantly on the bosses as well though maybe he was on CoS duty). He's probably a hair faster in getting those off those seeds so yours might not be exploding before the mobs are dead?

Wow Web Stats

Only bosses, you really can't complain, and I have not much to say about it, you missed 1.4% of the time that's really common. Your trinkets were used 8 times each which means you used them when they were up. Your crit was at 25% which I"m going to assume is accurate. Really good job, I don't like factoring in Hyjal Trash cause it sucks Seed spam go! Oh what, how'd I pull agro. DARNIT! At least for us that's the way it is.

Anyways good job.

This is perhaps a strong point in the lack of my damage. I noticed very quickly that I jumped to the top of the threat meters rather fast with SoC spam. Hence my ~10 deaths. Could my time being dead have really stacked up to that much damage on trash?

Absolutely it could have. I remember first going into Hyjal and dying every other pull... it's still a running joke in our guild. Basically you just have to wait. I generally use a RoF before using Seed, another option if you're healers allow it is using Hellfire. Saccing your Imp for Trash. You won't pull agro doing this and you will still be doing pretty much the same damage all said and done.

I think on bosses you did great. I raid here 05/41/15 and I will be trying out 0/21/40 next week out of curiosity. I have np holding my own and enjoy my spec but seeing your number on Rage and the Kaz they look real promising.

One quick thing is the other locks 96 spell hit is plenty for trash in here but not enough on bosses. I swap my gear sets from "trash" to "boss" personally. Learning to seed here can bring any lock up the overall damage ranks but only the ones that are any good will be up there for bosses IMO.

I posted 2 stat logs in the "Kaz' Rogal, trying out Felguard" post if you are curious.

I have not done Rage in a while as I let the new recruits get some experience in there.

Re: WWS Critique - First night in MH

Hmmm, I think you did fine. Hyjal is a pain to learn but then just dull as sin once its on farm.

The only real issue I see is that you seem to have had a problem on anetheron; whereas, the lock you referred to did his best overall on that boss. Another discrepancy I notice between you and the other two locks is that you cast CoD on the bosses a total of 17 times, which is much much more than the others 2/3 times respectively (CoS/CoE duty I assume). Anyhow, that should skew the results in your favor somewhat.

Another thing is that it seems that Razamataz should be doing somewhat more. He seems to have a little edge on you and the other lock stat-wise. Also, I wouldn't say that there is as -big- gear gap between you and karh as you might think but being hit capped you should do better dps.
