Blizzard Home

Blizzard’s Home page provides links to almost anything you need. From all the games they create, to support pages and the official Blizzard store.

Database Information

Database driven sites are very handy to know as the information they comtain is usually fairly up to date. The opposite of a manually updated site (like this one), sites like Allakhazams and Thottbot rely on players to run a program that keeps track of things they do in game and then submit this information back to the websites to update anything that has changed. This automated way of updating information ensures that any changes made in game, are also made to their content.

Allakhazams

Originally started as an information site for the game Everquest, Allakhazam.com now covers all of the major Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games including World of Warcraft. Covers pretty much anything you want to know like the 14,881 or more items, 5,000 plus quests or the approximate 9,395 in game NPC's.

Thottbot

Another database driven information site, this was the core site used by a lot of Beta players before Allakhazams got fully up and running. A lighter version of Allakhazams, it's handy to keep in mind.

Goblin Workshop

From their 'About Us' page, [GW] states they aim to be the best spoiler site for WoW game information featuring a gigantic database of quest spoilers, monsters and NPCs, weapons and armor, maps, tradeskills and more. This website has a very clean layout for information, but doesn't always have the comments and feedback from players such as Allakhazams. Still, that's not always a bad thing...

WoW Guru

Yet another database site that covers everything from Spells through to zone maps, WoW guru also incorporates some UI Mod and Movie downloads

User Interface Modifications

The in game UI (User Interface) system provides players with some customization, but for those wanting more flexibility, especially those that PvP and/or raid, the following sites host a huge range of player made UI modifications. There is also a sticky in the User Interface and Macros section of the forum listing ones that Warlocks feel are Recommended Add-ons.

Curse Gaming

One of the first sites to be used for UI downloads, it remains the main one people go to.

WoW Interface

Brought to you by the same people who did EQInterface, they provide downloads for nearly every mod you can think of. For those EQ players who loved T.King's work, you will also find his wow interface skins exclusive to WoW Interface. A very easy to follow downloads section.

WorldofWar UI

The large fansite worldofwar.net branched out to host a UI section. As well as providing the mod downloads, this site also hosts a large range of macro's and some tutorials.

CTMod

Not a UI host site like above, this link is included as it's one of the most common UI mods used. An all-in-one package that can completely revamp your UI to your liking.

Profile Sites

Creating a character profile gives other people the ability to see more about your character in the easiest possible way. It allows other people or potential guilds to see what armor you are wearing, allowing them to offer advice on potential upgrades among other things. For those that have already obtained some "phat lewt", having a character profile also gives you the chance to show it off. Below are some of the more popular profile sites...

CT Profiles

Designed and created by the same team that brought us CTMod, CTProfiles is a custom profile building site, meaning you don't upload your profile directly from the game, you build your own by selecting each item from a drop down menu. This gives you the ability to create your main profile, as well as additional "wish list" profiles of gear you want to get. The only downside to this ability is it does leave it open for a little... embellishment.

Allakhazams

One of the main database sites also provides profile's. In order to use the profile ability, you must download WoWreader which, once set up, will track and record item, quest, mob, npc and character information while you are playing. Once you are finished playing, you then run the WoWreader to upload the information to the site.

WoWRankings

Just like the name might hint at, this profile website allows players to see how they "rank" against other's of the same class and level. You can sort by attributes (see how you rank HP wise compared to that of your same level) or gold. There is also a detailed ranking system where you may select via dropdowns to narrow your search down to even be by server, race, or class.

Other Classes

By now most Warlocks have alts, or are alts of another class. Below are links to threads that provide information to access dedicated class specific forums for non-warlocks as well as links to informational posts and guides for further referencing.

WoW Radio

World of Warcraft Radio, or simply WoW Radio, is an independent group of players that have come together to produce and promote live radio shoutcasts that air throughout the week. Our shows are about 90% talk and 10% music, with most of the music either being produced at home by WoW players, or produced by the Blizzard sound team and released for public use.

World of Warcraft Census

WoW Census provides graphical display of data submitted from the Warcraft CensusPlus UI Mod. The collected World of Warcraft Census information gives a general view of server, faction and overall population trends. You can select/filter by race, class, level, server, faction and guild.

WoW Wiki

A wiki is a website that allows the visitors themselves to easily add, remove, and otherwise edit and change available content, and typically without the need for registration. The WoW Wiki is basically just that, a website created by all the players of WoW that add bits of information on the subjects they know best. Information on this site should never be taken as gospel, but more a really large player knowledgebase.
